Angular dependence of the electrically driven and detected ferromagnetic resonance in Ni36Fe64 wires

We study the angular dependence of ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) in Ni36Fe64 wires using both traditional microwave-absorption and electrical-detection techniques. In our experiments we apply a static magnetic field at an angle θ with respect to wire, while microwave current, which is responsible for driving FMR, always flowing along wire. For different θs find very similar behavior electrically-detected FMR – follows simple “1/cos(θ)“ dependence. This highlights importance relative orientation between current field. also investigated electrically detected on dc rf (microwave) magnitudes. As expected, signal increases linearly applied power.
